I hope everyone will read Part 2 that completes this article. Very interesting to contemplate. Thank you.

Obedience to God's current commandment is always the highest priority, even when different from what's come before: The Law of Obedience comes first.

The sad part about polygamy is most people on the outside approach it from the "lust" stand point as opposed to the way God intended it and that taints their understanding of it. Some Church members do the same. Some key points. 1) Polygamy has been lived while all parties are living in the final generation, the generation of the fullness of times. 2) What God commands, he can revoke. 3) Whether you have 1 wife or multiple, the reward in heaven is the same. Just like Church callings. Whether you are the nursery leader of the Prophet of the Church, if you live a true and faithful life, meaning living the very best that you on a daily basis, and knowing that can change day to day, the reward is the same. 4) Some days living the very best we can could mean barely able to get out of bed due to illness, while other days can mean you are up, working, etc.

Simply put, the D&C tells us God/Lord can command or revoke. God does not necessarily need to explain or elaborate on why he did command or why he revoked. Rarely does God explain or elaborate. Our only role is obedience to what God commands or if He revokes, obedience to that.

Very illuminating. I now understand the higher motivation. It is a very long article.
