i was so glad to know that our church believes in a heavenly mother, otherwise why are there 2 sexes here on earth. we couldn't presume that God created us in a flash and that we experiences something He doesn't. So there are two in heaven as it should be in sexes....i was raised a catholic and learned to worship a heavenly mother but that heavenly mother was mary the mother of Jesus...catholic all over still worship her and now they say they use her as the intercessor ..Jesus is the intercesser...our only intercessor..however that is spelled. I was also told in the church that we dont know the name of our Mother in heaven because we cannot blaspheme her...its as if Heavenly Father is protecting Her. i do know that we will know all things when its time and I dont worry over it and try to argue things out. its not necessary. God bless all.

On my mission I wrote a poem about Heavenly Mother, probably thinking of my own mother and all mothers who send their sons or daughters off to a strange place to do the Lord’s work. In all honesty, we know little about Heavenly Mother, except it makes perfect sense that we are born of two Heavenly parents. I am sure Mother is surrounding us with her love and leading our cheering squad until we are Home again.

I appreciate the thoughts towards a heavenly mother and the female attributes associated with her. However, God never intended for us to perform any type of worship toward her. In fact, such worship was the basis for the destruction of both the Northern and Southern Kingdoms of Israel. Allowing such thoughts into our minds opens us up to a very powerful tool of Satan. Our salvation is dependent upon a plan of the Sacrifice and Atonement of Jesus Christ and all proscriptions of worship are to be centered on God and His son. Satan was able to flip the script on this, insinuating the Queen of Heaven into the pantheon of gods accepted by the early Israelites. It quickly led to untold corruption, misery and death in their worship practices, resulting in their destruction and dispersal, the gathering from which we are just now beginning to witness. Logic tells us we have a mother in heaven. Logic does not necessarily fit into who or what our how we worship.

The common thread that I have found among those who veer off the covenant path is that they believe that they are more inspired than - a step ahead of - the prophet. They believe that if he would just ask the right questions and focus on their points, that the Church would finally return to or get to their inspired conclusions and position. When that doesn't happen, they stay and bad mouth the leadership, or they eventually leave. It's sad and so preventable.

What an "Aha" moment. I sometimes wonder why we don't hear more about our Heavenly Mother. Your article makes sense to me, and answers that question. It's because we humans are rather prone to try the "Heavenly Mother work-around." I see it happening here and there recently. Does that mean I shouldn't yearn to know my Heavenly Mother? Not at all. But She, of all people, wouldn't want us to inadvertently drive a wedge between us and Her Sweetheart. Here's the truth: When I'm close to Him, I'm close to Her too.

I like to think that a reason (speculation only) that Father doesn't reveal more to us about Mother is because He is so abused right now by his children that He's saving revealing her until we are ready to treat her with respect.

Thank you for this insightful article. I painted Heavenly Mother for one of those books and started following those accounts. Before too long, I also had to unfollow them. I appreciate your insights on why we need to see our Heavenly parents as one.
