I am really confused I have read the Book of Mormon and it said that Lehi and his family has uptained the promise land that same promised land that later would be uptained by the gentiles who would drive the lamanites off of the promised land. Those same gentiles would fight against the mother gentiles, sounds like the war against the British to me how can the promised land be in Guatemala. It isn't a land of liberty! This same promise land would be where the new Jerusalem would be established. Even an apostle of the Lord said that the United States of America is the promise land. The hill cumorah is found in the United States. The first missionaries send to the Lamanites were in the United States not Guatamala. Do you not think Joseph Smith knew where the Lamanites lived. When I was on my mission we used Christ in America I was excited to show the Mayan temples to my investigators as I have gotten older I started thinking about it
