Some of us have been studying the Hebrew covenants and the 7 festivals for years. They all tie into what we understand of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and our temple ordinances and scriptures. The Lord has not forgotten His sacred calendar. And understanding what He gave the ancient Hebrews really enhances our modern covenants, especially the temple. Very nice article.

Another interesting fact: During Passover, the Jews set aside a cup of wine for Elijah. They expect him to arrive during Passover in preparation for the coming of the Messiah. It was on the 2nd day of Passover in 1836 that Elijah appeared to Joseph and Oliver in the Kirtland Temple.

What a marvelous researched article. For seven years I taught at a private school associated with Church of the Living Word. (a relatively new Christian Church) They celebrated Biblical festivals and I vividly recall the day long activities wherein the children were divided into tribes for the Feast of the Tabernacles and spent their day in their family tent. I look forward to sharing this article with them!
