Unfortunately sometimes we are so "careful"about being sure we teach nothing but true doctrine, that we steer very wide away from anything that might challenge our understanding.

As a former Gospel Doctrine teacher in a ward where 85% had been members less than 10 years, there were a few times when discussion was so profound I would have to take a step back under the truth that had been shared. Everyone has something worthwhile to add to the mix.
