My husband's testosterone was below FIFTY!!! We're doing shots, and although it's only creeped up marginally, there is a HUGE difference in his participation level in life. He said he knew his life was fine, but everything seemed an effort, so why do anything at all... Now, he's a part of the family again. Check testosterone, it saved my sanity!

this so sounds like depression and anxiety ...could even be a health problem for him to suddenly change. Most men don't want anyone bothering with what is wrong with them....his thyroid gland ..all sorts of things. if he were military could be ptsd...never know but he needs a full medical examination. I would say talk to the bishop about this problem and see what he suggests to do as well. when someone changes that drastically something is definitely wrong...prayers for you..

I loved your advice for this wife and mother. There are audio podcasts on mormon channel for women's support groups. I've been listening to them while I exercise in the morning. It gives me something to think about and I feel a beautiful Spirit about these meetings. Here's the link in case anyone is interested. https://www.mormonchannel.org/listen/collection/womens-spouse-and-family-support-meeting

I agree with Michele. Low testosterone levels and low thyroid can do this. The clinic I associate with has seen plenty of young men with nearly zero testosterone, and they just give up. They don't feel like doing anything.

He could also have an endocrine problem such as low thyroid.
