This is a very well-articulated explanation of Critical Race Theory and it's dangers. It is disturbing to know that Critical Race Theory, along with other critical theories, are being taught in our universities, including some universities where you might not expect it.
Thank you for this article!
As Elder Oaks recently said, "Black Lives Matter" is a fundamental truth.
We can eliminate racism in our society while not becoming Marxist. I worry that this article is so bent on conflating the two.
I am so glad you commented on the twisted focus on "diversity." We have become a nation that seems to place diversity on a pedestal and worship it. It is wonderful that we are each unique, but we are far more alike than different. The fact that we are ALL children of a loving Heavenly Father is what will unify us--NOT the obsession with the ways we are different.
Thank you for writing this. For many of us who have already spoken out on the great lie that is critical race theory and have been silenced and marginalized on social media, we lack a forum for speaking out and exposing the false Marxist Dogmas and "New Speak" of this growing evil.
Thank you for explaining it so well. I did not realize it was being "taught in schools". I knew the pendulum had swung to people of color, I did not see the Marxist aspect. I hope others will become more aware.
"Evil triumphs when good men do nothing"
Thank you again for doing your part to end this!!
Critical race theory could be described as a modern-day, updated version of the Doctrine of Original Sin. Like Original Sin, it assigns collective inherent guilt for alleged events and actions over which a person had no influence or control - thus denying people their right to be judged by their respective character and attributes. We believe, as is stated in A of F No. 2, that men are punished for their own sins and not for Adam's transgression, Likewise, we are accountable for our own actions and not for a fictional, imaginary concept of guilt which is attributed to one's race or ethnicity.
This makes my heart ache for my county. May God bless us each to stand up against these evil combinations in our day!
I love the author's suggestion of using the "Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits public institutions from discriminating on the basis of race." Anyone who pre-judges me by the color of my skin, no matter what color that is, and who assumes that I have racist attitudes simply because of the color of my skin, is in violation of the law.
Great article. My confusion rests in institutions that understand the true value of America and why they continue to say that Democrats (who support and push this agenda) should be a valuable and legitimate party to vote for. IF this Marxist ideology truly is as dangerous as you portray it to be, and I believe it is, then why don't churches who espouse the value of America and the protection of free religion, speak out against the Democratic party and this Marxist regime? Has this Marxist ideology infiltrated strong conservative religious organizations???
I"m absolutely with you on every point. as a former academic, I have seen these theories pulled out of academia and turned into public policy. It's chilling. And now it's here in my small school District in Murray, starting in the elementary schools of all places. we absolutely must stand up--parents in particular--and make it clear that our children are not guinea pigs for this pseudo Marxist indoctrination. The goal with critical race theory, is an inversion of power--not harmony or unity or learning to all get along. The time for naivete is over
