There still has not been, to date, an effective, even partially effective vaccine for a coronavirus. This new technology, developing using genetic manipulation (RNA sequencing) is highly experimental, and will forever alter one's genetic make up. The rapidly with which this vaccine is being developed, skipping the step of important animal trials, makes anyone with any basic understanding of how vaccines are developed, genetics science, and virology, very suspicious and nervous if any vaccine is pushed out this year (former vaccine researcher). The safety issues are HUGE. Best to focus on therapeutics, protection of the vulnerable, and building healthy immune systems. Danger danger danger.

Great article - gave me some better understanding of what takes place in developing a vaccine. Wear a mask when going to the grocery store and try to keep a distance from others. Say your prayers for those working on a vaccine solution that they may be successful very soon. Behind and patience with others during this stressful time.

Thanks for a positive outlook. I don't pay attention to a lot of the news because it's conflicting and because it's so negative. I don't want to be that doom and gloom person, or have that life. This kind of article is exactly what I needed to read. Keeping a spiritual outlook is the important part of my survival.

Approx 2 years ago the science and systems were accelerated rapidly, the Church leaders emphasized quality Sabbath day observance, deeper study in the Book of Mormon, a reverence for our Temple attendance, shortening All meetings on Sunday to spend more time with family, and the life changing development of the Come Follow Me home teaching program; God is ever near and our watchmen on the tower are listening! ❤️

Rae Greenstreet, I agree, there have been many Drs. Using Hydroxychloroquine with great success especially when given at the beginning. No hospital stays, no ventilators, etc.

It feels like the news is full of scare tactics and hardly any optimism. Why have we not heard more about these specific details (about vaccines and treatments becoming available as early as this Fall) that offer hope in broader media outlets?

This is so hopeful! I will keep the fasting and prayers going for this vaccine to be safe and available soon. While there has been great purpose in this particular virus, I believe the answers to stopping it are also at our disposal. And I am so grateful.
