I followed that Attention Seeking vs. Attachment Seeking reference, but in the reference they appear to be synonymous with respect to the behavior in question. The point seemed to be that the care-giver should interpret the attention-seeking behavior as attachment-seeking, and that that mindset will help the care-giver, not the one engaging in attention-seeking behavior.
I wish the author could provide advice on how someone stuck in the attention-seeker's life story can better walk in that story and be less obnoxious to those around them.
