After being named 15th on last year’s rankings, BYU has jumped 10 spots to rub shoulders with the likes of Princeton and Harvard as one of the top 5 universities in America according to Money Magazine. The rankings are based on a combination of affordability, quality of education and alumni success.
BYU was by far the most inexpensive education among the highest rankings schools on the list; well over $40k below a Harvard education. Also of interest was that although BYU awarded a comparatively low percentage of its students needs-based aid, it gives a far higher percentage of merit-based aid than any of the other top schools.
Also on the list is University of Utah at number 106 and Utah State University at 190.
