The general public is invited to tour the Atlanta Georgia Temple from Saturday, April 9, through Saturday, April 23, 2011, excluding Sundays and Monday evenings. The temple has been closed for nearly two years for a complete remodel of the interior, renovation of the exterior, and relandscaping of the grounds.
Reservations are required and are available free of charge at lds.org/reservations or through the reservation center at 1-866-537-8457 or 1-801-570-0800.
Reservations will be taken beginning Monday, March 21, 2011.
Following the open house, on Saturday, April 30, local Church members will hold a youth cultural celebration featuring music and dance. Instructions for attending the event will be provided as it draws closer.
The Atlanta Georgia Temple will be rededicated in two sessions on Sunday, May 1, 2011. The rededication will be broadcast to congregations within the temple district, including units in Georgia, Tennessee, and Alabama. Dedication tickets and instructions for attendance will be distributed through local priesthood leaders. The temple will reopen for ordinance work on Tuesday, May 3, 2011.
