  • We’re not close to making New Year’s resolutions and summer is already halfway over for most of us, but it’s really never too late, in my opinion, to get in shape or start eating right. Lately I’ve been searching a lot online for healthy eating tips or good workout plans. I found an interesting LDS site. At this site, you can look up past articles from the Ensign, New Era, etc., with great tips on how to stay healthy. If you’re looking for some uplifting articles to keep you motivated, check out this site.

  • This blog was quite a find for me. I received an e-mail about the Bradfields, who are members of the LDS church in New Zealand. At the end of a two month vacation sailing around Tonga, their yacht was damaged at sea (the mast broke during bad weather), and they were rescued by a French ship and had to subsequently sink their disabled yacht.  They had updated a blog each day of their two month adventure at the following link: www.tongatrip.blogspot.com. While their story got a lot of coverage in New Zealand, we probably haven’t heard much about it here. So, if you like high sea adventures, or just want to read a miraculous story, then be sure to check this blog out.

  • If you like poetry, check out this blog. This blogger posts a new poem each day, getting her inspiration from conference talks, LDS books and scriptures. Keep up on her daily blog here. It seems like it would be a great talk or lesson helper, as well as a little something to add to your daily scripture study.

  • Are you single? Have you ever been single? Chances are, the answer to one or both of those questions is yes. I found a pretty entertaining blog here, called Talking Walls. It’s the confessions of several single LDS women. Having been single for most of my life, I can relate to a lot of what these girls have to say. If you don’t want to feel like you’re the only single out there, check out this blog. It has some great tips and ideas, as well as entertaining stories from each of the girls. Even if you’re not single, you will still probably be able to relate to these women.

  • Last but not least, every year in the “Bloggernacle” readers are asked to vote for their favorite blogs. Well, the nominations are in, and it’s time to cast your vote for the Best of the Bloggernacle in 2008.  The voting polls are open until July 15. I use many of these blogs in my article each week and I wouldn’t have an article without them, so take some time to vote for your favorite inspiring, uplifting and oftentimes humorous blogs. Vote here.
