One challenge we face in life is teaching the truth in love. At the Last Supper, Jesus taught, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). We live in a world that says “You do you” and “Find your own truth.” But Jesus Christ is the Truth. How do you teach this without being offensive? My friend Rob Eaton led a great discussion with Hank Smith and John Bytheway on this verse (and topic) on the Follow Him podcast. Here’s a link to the video version at the time code where this discussion starts (it is also available below). It would make for a great class or family discussion to watch a few minutes from this clip and discuss (or possibly roleplay) how to teach the truth that Jesus is the only way in a way that will not be offensive.

Absolutely golden material and so timely with the current “climate”. The three examples were so powerful to me and my family. 1. Excerpt from Narnia. 2. Steven Covey’s example of where true north is and 3. Wanting and needing to save people from jumping in hot boiling pools in Yellowstone. These visuals I pray will always stay in my back pocket, for a time I will need them. I struggle putting words to my thoughts, but these examples were incredible true and clear. Thank you!!!!
