The World Report of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was released Wednesday, April 1, in 11 languages and will air on the Church satellite system during and beyond general conference weekend. It will also air at 9 a.m. MDT on Saturday, April 5, on BYUtv; and at 4 p.m. MDT on Saturday April 4 on KSL-TV.

The report highlights Church’s news and activities since the previous general conference, but one of the most compelling stories is the surge in growth the Church continues to show. Just when so many talk about churches bleeding members, we are seeing historic growth.

Elder Quentin L. Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles discussed the growth in his October 2025 general conference address.

“In the last 36 months, nearly 900,000 converts have joined the Church. These converts constitute approximately 5% of the total Church membership,” he shared. “In the first six months of this year, conversions have risen by more than 20% over the previous year in Europe, Africa, Asia, the Pacific and Latin America. In North America, we have seen a 17% increase.”

More than 85,000 missionaries are serving worldwide. As the number of missionaries continues to rise, the Church announced the creation of 55 additional missions in October. In November, the First Presidency announced that young women can begin mission service at age 18 instead of 19.

Here is the segment of the World Report that tells the growth story.
