This photograph was taken on April 6 from inside a cave in Bethlehem as the sun was setting. We are to share the “top 3 things I love about you.” I wanted to take that from the perspective of inside this Bethlehem cave. I love you, dear Jesus, because you condescended from your throne divine, to rescue a soul so rebellious and proud as mine. I love you, precious Jesus, because you could have been born in a palace fit for the King that you are, and instead you came to a stable, a fold, a cave, a most humble place where animals snuggled together to stay warm—your very birth bespeaks your most glorious name of Immanuel—God with us. You truly are with us. I love you, most glorious Jesus, because at any given moment in your life you always chose to do the will of the Father. You chose to be obedient. You chose to do everything that would make the pathway bright for us to follow. You are the way, the truth and the life.
