I just listened to perhaps the toughest woman I’ve ever heard speak (or at least up there with my mother and my wife). Erika Kirk, the wife of the slain Charlie Kirk, just spoke at his memorial service to a crowd that filled all available seats in the huge State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — and could have filled a stadium over twice that size. She was stunning. How can anyone not be touched and changed by her courage, her vision, her desire to bless the young people of our country, and her unstoppable mission, in spite of having just seen her husband murdered.
What kind of woman speaks about the hate-filled man who (apparently) slaughtered her beloved husband in front of her, and mourns for the bitter soul who took Charlie’s life, saying, “That man, that young man, I FORGIVE HIM!” And she urged us to do the same. What a tremendous example, one really needed by this world.
What a joyous moment to see the crowd erupt in applause at her call for forgiveness. They are not burning down cities, hunting down opponents, or making kill lists — they are gathered to celebrate a loving man and a brave widow — and many are seeking to also draw closer in some way to God.
May we all have the strength to forgive and to rescue the young people who are being led astray by corrupt institutions and radicals seeking to destroy.
Thank you, Erika Kirk, for sharing your heart with us and telling us about the joy of your marriage with a faithful man. May we married men strive to treat our wives as lovingly, faithfully, and solicitously as he treated you. I was inspired by the touching details you shared. We men need that.
She taught men about the importance of their marriage and how they must honor their wives. “Please be a leader worth following. Your wife is not your servant. Your wife is not your employee. Your wife is not your slave. She is your helper. You are not rivals. You are one flesh working together for the glory of God…. His love for me drove me to be a better wife. Every day he honored me.”
She also spoke to women, urging them to be virtuous. And “if you are a mother, please recognize that that is the single most important ministry you have.”
Her message is one deeply needed by many in our nation. Her words testify of the power of love, the power of forgiveness, and especially the power of Jesus Christ. Please share her message with others and your own witness of Jesus Christ, if you have one. If you don’t, seek Him out.

I, too, am very touched by Erika Kirk's testimony and commitment to Jesus Christ by embracing forgiveness for Charlie's killer, However, I must say that I would not have been able to do so in just a few days. Forgiveness would require a huge dose of the enabling power of the Savior. Without Him, I would never be able to offer such forgiveness. I am grateful that we do not have to depend on our own strength for such monumental challenges.

Thank you for reporting this story. I have been so moved by the outpouring of the spirit of the Lord upon the world as a reaction to Charlie Kirk and his death. It seems to me that we are in a great period of revival as millions worldwide are turning to Jesus and prayer and scriptures as never before. History shows that often a great revival to Jesus comes after a Christian martyr dies, such as the stoning of Stephen when Saul (renamed the apostle Paul) brought forth a great revival to Jesus.
