You need to google a summary of the official GOP platform -- their purposes, beliefs, and goals. Compare it to the Democratic platform. You'll see the vast differences. I know it is hard to tell the difference between the two parties in Washington DC, but the platforms say it all. The career politicians need to be ousted.

We have the right and the freedom to be a part of either party. There is nothing in the Church that says we can only be a good standing member if we belong to one party or the other or even a third party altogether. We have been admonished to read to learn to pray about any canadate and we would be lead to the proper decision. The doctrines of man means nothing, and bouncing around with every wind that blows is not the answer either. Be informed if you have questions ask of God as far as I know He has never lead anyone astray. I don't care about your political opinions I care about God and what He wants is is the Eternal King and He will guide us if we but let him.

Once again, the GOP will shoot itself in the foot - and loose the presidency: How sad at this critical juncture when we desperately so need a radical change!

While it is perfectly reasonable for LDS people to feel unhappy in the Republican Party right now -- we have been told that in the last days, the righteous will be outnumbered by the wicked. I don't seen any purpose in trying to form a new party of "righteous' people based on "righteous" principles -- it will be a permanent minority -- totally ineffective. I will stay (at least for now) with the Republican Party -- because they are electable and can at least have some voice in influencing government.

I concur. It seems to me that one of two things need to happen very soon: either form a new party with all those in our country willing to place highest priority on integrity, transparency, and personal accountability or else firmly demand a departure from the Republican party of all those unwilling to acknowledge that much of what Trump represents is not what we want. The sad fact is that if Trump is elected then the current Republican party is finished and if Hillary is elected it will be years before a revamped party will have much national inflence.

How can any member of the Church answer the temple question that they do not belong to any organization that is in direct opposition to the teachings of the gospel will being a member of the Republican or Democratic political parties? LDS doctrine is that LDS must eschew Socialism and Fascism. Both parties promote these Satanic religious/political beliefs. So how can an honest member belong to either major party?

Mitt Romney was that man. The country did not see it.

Outstanding article. I hope there are enough men nationwide who share these feelings about how men should speak and behave to make a difference for the future of the country.
