The honeymoon is over when you have two children.

My husband and I were also a bit older, 27 and 34, when we got married. We had basically the same peaceful transition to married life. I remember having the same question-were we the weird ones?? Over time, I have come to observe that we will each be tested in different ways (which I had been taught from my youth, but my experience was confirming it). For some, the heart-wrenching test will be the marriage relationship, for others it will be raising children or dealing with infertility. So, I encourage you to stand as a witness that marriage can be great! On each wedding congratulations card, I try to let the newlyweds know how awesome it is to be married! I also try to be full of love and encouragement for those who struggle in this way as I need this type of support in my biggest test of motherhood.

This is the easiest family question. Answer is *never*. Unless . . . you need to be "right", selfish, casual about God, prideful.
