I'm 45 years old and just got diagnosed with cancer. This piece, and especially Elder Faust's quote, hit me hard. In this trial I have become acquainted with my Heavenly Father like never before. I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. Thank you for writing this beautiful piece.

This is so well spoken. We do all have hard trials but indeed when we trust in our Savior, we can be refined. I love the silver and paper analogy. My life has had some heart wrenching trials but the Lord carried me through. Thanks so much for your inspired words.
