This is the 1st one of the Screwtape Text Message columns I've read and it's very good and right on in it's observations. I could give countless examples of the things mentioned from or about family members, ward members, former co-workers, etc., how digital technology/devices have affected or destroyed marriages, been the beginning of testimonies lost, affected employment, it's almost endless. It hits home also, while I haven't googled something during a church class or meeting I find myself online a lot looking up auto or home repair info, outdoor/hiking equipment, lots of political stuff, it can be almost addictive. One thing the article doesn't mention but everybody deals with, we are so dependent on technology now, if it's not working correctly life almost seems to stop, endless hours are spent sometimes daily, trying to get our digital/electronic media and devices to work correctly and that's time away from more important things usually.
