would that "this is where the people were" be the only reason for going to the synagogue, on the sabbath, be the only reason for Paul to go on the sabbath? that Luke says the same of Paul in Acts 17:2 that he says of Jesus in Luke 4:16, shows that it was more than "where the people were." in Acts 13 Paul is in the synagogue and doesn't speak until asked if he has anything to say, which indicates that to speak was not the only reason. in Acts 16 at Philippi there was no synagogue so they sought a quiet place for prayer, which is worship, showing that to speak to others was not the only reason. might it be because of the commandment, "remember the sabbath day and keep it holy?" Jesus kept His Father's commandments, John 15:10 and Paul says "be imitators of me and i am of Christ, 1Corinthians 11:1
