Hey Marvin, Hap and I enjoy reading your contributions every time! Our stake here in VA Beach, VA is going on its "every 4th year trek" in about a week. Loved hearing your stories. Peter McBride is a relative of Hap's and we have a great book written by Peter's posterity from diaries called, Chariots Of Hope. It's a great record of their experiences and sacrifices. BTW the other bird in our 'ancient girl's primary program' was Lark. :)

I think it's a powerful painting, too. But I don't believe the snowed-on handcart companies passed near any pine trees after the snow began and before they were rescued. I could, of course, be wrong. It's happened.
