My wife and I are currently serving a mission in Taiwan, an island just off the coast of China, where Chinese culture and Chinese New Year are very much celebrated here. The members of the Church here are so good to us. In the past seven days, we have had 13 breakfast, lunch or dinner invitations! Chinese New Year is Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year's and your birthday all rolled into one giant festival. Shops shut down for the week, oftentimes the only time they do shut down all year. Spending time with family is crucial, and much loved.
We are so grateful that we can be serving a family history mission as a senior couple in this wonderful place, and especially at this special time of year.
