What a tender and sweet poem. It’s the perfect time of year for such reflection. The Savior is perfect in every way, but most importantly in His example of love for others. Thank you for the kind message.

As a person who writes and also writes and enjoys poetry, this is just beautiful. Thanks for sharing you talent, especially right now as we prepare to celebrate the love and sacrifice of our Savior.

Vickie...I can't imagine the impact on your family, but you are right...just love him as much as any of your children. We receive unconditional love from the Savior, and one of the reasons we're here is to learn to love like Him.

Vickie, You are a wise and loving mother to understand you can love your son and pray for his happiness without changing your values. As you said, we are to love.

I HAVE A SON WHO WILL BE 33 THIS YEAR...HE WAS BORN AUGUST 18, 1985. HE WAS DIFFERENT THEN THE REST OF MY CHILDREN. HE IS THE LAST OF 5 AND THE LAST OF THE 4 BOYS I HAD. MY ONLY DAUGHTER BEING THE OLDEST. I pray for him always...he came out this year letting me know he is gay. he served a mission. he let me know he suffered many years trying so hard to please me and his father. now that he is 33 he is tired of being two different people. one kind in front of us and another person to his friends. He knows the church is true but he is having to let it go because of who he is. he will be getting married next year to another young man. this was so hard for my family ...but there is one thing above all of this......our love for him. we love him and that reminds me how much my Father in Heaven Loves us...that is what keeps me going knowing that in no matter what trials that befall us we should remember how Christ acted and what God teaches ...to love one another ..unconditionally.
