In 1977 I drove a van of sisters to Sister Grimms' home in Manila, from Clark Air Base in the Philippines; our branch presidents' wife was her niece. She had her housegirls prepare a delicious lunch of food storage foods for us, including a drink made from parched, ground-up wheat. She told us that during WWII all of them had to find other places to live, because the Japanese High Command used their beautiful home as a headquarters for all Japanese forces in the islands. What a wonderfully friendly lady she was! I was serving as the district mission president then, and missionary work benefited from her life's work in the Philippines. Truly, a wonderful person.
