When my abusive ex husband remarried, she took control of the situation. My oldest child went to live with them, and they wouldn't let me see him. This child was the one most bonded to his controlling father. I was able to let go of this scenario and eventually, they divorced and his father brought him back to live with me. My son didn't need to go through any of this; I just want to echo the wonderful advice Geoff always has. It will work out.
