BYU women’s basketball star Lexi Rydalch was drafted into the WNBA Thursday night to the Seattle Storm. She was the 26th overall pick in the third round.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be drafted by the Seattle Storm,” Lexi Eaton Rydalch said in a press release. “I have followed and watched their program for years and really like how they play. I love the city of Seattle and I’m looking forward to playing for Jenny Boucek, proving myself and hopefully contributing to the team.”
During Rydalch’s five years at BYU — one spent healing from an ACL injury — she became the second all-time leading scorer at BYU with 2,535 career points. Those stats also made her the West Coast Conference’s all-time leading scorer for both men and women’s teams.
