The Los Angeles Temple lawn has gone brown.

Like all temples, the lawn is usually lush and green. But to do their part in reducing water consumption during the historic California drought, the L.A. Temple has shut off water to the front central lawn.

“We are pleased to join others across Los Angeles and California in reducing water consumption during this historic drought,” LDS Church spokesman Doug Andersen shared. “We hope and pray that weather conditions change so we can restore the beauty of the temple grounds.”
