In 2012 my wife and I were called on a three-year church mission to the Philippines. We ordered expedited passports to ensure our July 1st report date. When UPS delivered the documents to our front porch, a wicked dust storm blew the envelope into oblivion. We panicked. No time to order new passports!

Just before our departure date and with no hope of timely permission to leave the country, I decided to weed a vacant lot we owned at the opposite end of our street. While pulling weeds I spotted a rain-soaked envelope in the underbrush. To my shock it was our passports, dry and pristine inside the tattered envelope. The storm had blown its precious cargo a full country block. Statistics say this event is highly improbable. But in the math of heaven God works His miracles…even during storms that pummel our peace.
