His Excellency Ibrahima Touré, ambassador of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to the United States, met with leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and toured local Church sites on Wednesday, November 8, 2023.
Welfare Square and the Humanitarian Center were among the sites Ambassador Touré visited.
He then met with members of the First Presidency — President Dallin H. Oaks and President Henry B. Eyring — as well as Elder D. Todd Christofferson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles.
Ambassador Touré was appointed to the position on October 6, 2021, and took office on December 14, 2021.
