Mike Foley, editor of Kaleo: Koolauloa News, began his long association with Laie when he moved there in 1967 soon after serving a mission in Samoa. Since then he worked at BYUHawaii, the Polynesian Cultural Center, Hawaii Reserves, Inc. and has been a freelance writer and digital media specialist for the past 10 years.
