Clark B. Hinckley is a banker by vocation and a historian by avocation. An advisory director and retired officer of Zions Bank, he earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) from the Harvard Business School. He is a graduate and former faculty member of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
Clark is the author of Christopher Columbus: A Man Among the Gentiles (Deseret Book), and The Courageous Journey of Mary Goble Pay (BYU Religious Studies Center/Deseret Book).
He has served as a bishop, stake president, mission president, and temple president. He and his wife, Kathleen Hansen Hinckley, have six children and twenty-four grandchildren. They have lived in Boston, New York City, Michigan, and Arizona. They currently reside in Salt Lake City and serve in the Jordan River Temple.
