Meghan Decker is a writer, public speaking consultant, teacher, wife/mom/grandma, 12-Stepper, and aspiring good person. In her book Reaching for Hope: An LDS Perspective on Recovering from Depression she recounts her experience with clinical depression; in addition, she has published short fiction as well as tech and business articles. Through her company Open Door Communications she works with professional speakers to motivate audiences to action.
Meghan taught seminary and institute classes for thirteen years and currently enjoys leading a kid-friendly stake institute class for young moms. She is indebted to 12-Step programs for helping her learn how to let go and let God, and she endeavors to help others find hope and healing as a leader in Healing Through Christ meetings. Meghan and her husband David have five daughters and fifteen grandchildren. Whenever possible, she enjoys taking long walks in the woods, exploring the world with her husband, and discovering restaurants and recipes with her daughters.
