Mark Paredes is a Los Angeles-based columnist for Meridian Magazine, the Deseret News, and the Jewish Journal of Los Angeles. A native of Michigan, he graduated from BYU and served as a U.S. diplomat in Israel and Mexico prior to working for several Israeli and Jewish organizations.
