Kelly Schrum Hutchins is a stay-at-home mother of ten, who served a mission in Kobe, Japan (’87-88), and has, so far, supported five of her children on missions. She has worked with the youth in various assignments and organizations over the years, and loves their energy and enthusiasm. No matter what role she is performing, her goal is to empower them with confidence.
She enjoys learning new things, and is currently attending Brigham Young
University-Idaho Online, finishing a degree in Marriage and Family Studies. When she isn’t glued to the computer screen working on assignments, she enjoys refinishing furniture. Seeing an old piece of junk become a usable, beautiful, comfortable piece of furniture is rewarding and satisfying. She also enjoys reading a good mystery, and has a growing collection of children’s books. She loves spending time at the beach, celebrating Halloween and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
She currently doesn’t travel much because she teaches early morning Seminary. Kelly lives in Connecticut with her husband and four children, and is looking forward to becoming a grandmother and reading children’s books with her grand-godlings.
