Gilbert W. Scharffs received a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing form the University of Utah, a master’s degree in business from New York University, and his Ph.D. in History of Religion, and Bible and Modern Scripture from Brigham Young University.He taught religion classes in the education system of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in seminary, and for 27 years at the Salt Lake Institute of Religion adjacent to the University of Utah, where he served as director for a number of years. He also taught classes at BYU in Provo, Salt Lake, and recently at BYU Nauvoo. He is author of Mormonism in Germany, 101 Reasons I Like to Go to Church, The Truth About the Godmakers,Missionary’s Little Book of Answers and several articles in Church publications.
