Blair and Cindy Packard have been involved in Mozambique for the last 11 years. They founded Care for Life 10 years ago and now serve on its board of directors. They served a humanitarian mission as the Church’s representatives to the international measles campaign in Mozambique in 2005. From 2006 to 2009 they served as mission president and companion in Mozambique and Angola. They both have careers in health care – Blair is a physical therapist in private practice in Mesa and Cindy is a midwife. They reside in Gilbert, Arizona with their daughter, Lindy, now 11 who was born in Mozambique. They have 7 children and 19 grandchildren. Since returning from their mission assignment they teach the missionary preparation class in the Gilbert Arizona Highland Stake. Cindy also serves as the spokesperson for the Church in the Greater Phoenix Area. This photo is taken on the site where the Gilbert Arizona Temple is currently being built.
