Even if you’re not already familiar with Lindsey Stirling’s unique performance abilities and style, even if you’re unaware of her chart-topping musical success, you will still feel deeply moved by her story after watching her latest performance on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
She and pro dance partner Mark Ballas performed a waltz to honor Lindsey’s father who passed away from cancer earlier this year. Tears fill her eyes (and will probably fill yours too) as she describes how her father who always hoped to be a writer “shelved his dreams to pay for her violin lessons.” That is just one of the many reasons that Lindsey says, “I am the woman I am today because of [him].”
