A rendering of the beautiful exterior design of the Feather River California Temple has been released by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Announced by President Russell M. Nelson in October of 2018, the location of the temple will be at 1470 Butte House Road in Yuba City, California. According to the Church Newsroom, “Plans call for a temple of just over 38,000 square feet, as well as a new meetinghouse and distribution center to be built next to the temple. An existing meetinghouse on that site will be demolished.”
The finished temple site is set to cover nine acres, including a small parcel of land that the Church intends to purchase from Yuba City in the coming days.
Detailed interior design plans and renderings are still in development. That information will be made public later. A groundbreaking date has yet to be set, but project leaders will begin working on preliminary plans for the temple and filing public documents in the months to come.
This will be the eighth temple in California. Other temples are located in Fresno, Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Oakland, Redlands, Sacramento and San Diego.
