We have known Jenny Oaks Baker for a very long time, at least 25 or 30 years, and we loved her from the beginning. Her dedication to her music and to her instrument is impressive beyond words. Jenny never stops trying to find ways to testify of Jesus Christ wherever she goes and wherever she can play. A testimony doesn’t have to be in words, it can be, and often is, from strings or tones of an instrument.

In the last few days (and of special interest to our wonderful East Coast readers), Jenny sent us a personal note letting us know of two Easter performances of The Redeemer, composed by Kurt Bestor, with Jenny on the violin, Dallyn Vail Bayles as narrator and tenor, Lisa Hopkins Seegmiller, soprano, and the Washington D.C. Temple Choir and Orchestra.

The first performance will be in Rockville, Maryland on March 24, 2024 at The Music Center at Strathmore. Here’s how you get your tickets now (to a performance that will surely sell out): CLICK HERE.

The other performance will be in the Lincoln Center in New York City on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 7:00 PM. To reserve your best seats now, CLICK HERE.

Jenny also said to us: “I have also been working really hard to put together our 20 City Joy to the World! A Sacred Celebration 2023 Christmas Concert Tour throughout the US and Canada. Watch for our tour announcement on June 20th!

“I am so grateful to God for His guiding hand in my life! It has been so incredible to see God opening doors to enable us to bring The Redeemer and our Christ-centered Christmas Show to so many of His children!”

Jenny is also offering a violin and cello workshop this summer. There are still a few spots available to the attend this amazing workshop, July 25-29, 2023 at the Mid-Valley Performing Arts Center in Taylorsville, Utah. This workshop and performance is for players of all ages and levels.

I’ve added a video below of Jenny playing He Lives: Theme From “The Lamb of God” which I think you’ll find very moving. I am so grateful that Jenny never stopped practicing her violin. Thanks, Jenny!
