These examples are inspiring to read and any story that reminds of our relationship to God is worth pondering. In relation to the subject of wearying God till he blesses us, remember this must be done in faith with knowledge, a pure heart and with the Spirit. We learnt with the lost 116 pages that after enough pestering God will give us what we want, but it may not be to our advantage. Joseph in this case was led by pressure of man not from the Spirit's direction. Remember the familiar, tongue-in-cheek line-be careful what you pray for, you might get it.

"Jill askerlund August 2, 2015 “God is not a respecter of persons. We all have the same privilege. Come to God. Weary Him until He blesses you.” Where exactly is this comment from Joseph Smith Jr. Found as I have never read this before? Thank you" In an 1839 discourse in Commerce, Illinois, the Prophet Joseph Smith taught: “God is not a respecter of persons, we all have the same privilege. Come to God weary him until he blesses you &c we are entitled to the same blessings” ([recorded in Willard Richards Pocket Companion, 78–79] cited in The Words of Joseph Smith: The Contemporary Accounts of the Nauvoo Discourses of the Prophet Joseph, comp. Jill Askerlund: I had the same question. I found this in the Book of Mormon Student Manual (2009), 361-68. I hope this helps! Thank you for outlining these truths regarding prayer. Prayer fixes things, especially our hearts, so that we understand the Lord's workings in our lives. Well written.

It is wonderful to read enlightened instruction that I feel the Spirit has been trying to give me for many years. I not only believe it because I have read it - I feel it and feel edified by it. Thank you for taking the time to share some of the fruits of many years study. And praise to the man who communed with Jehovah!
