please do not make living near parents one of the characteristics of a good parenting. Adult children need to also be able to grow together with there own spouse and establish their own family unit and living next to mom and dad is not conducive to that process. This tale is too simplistic and slated to address the reality of parenting and the complex relationships of the extended family unit..

Responding to Inari, I was blessed to do most of that before my kids were born. The rest was while they were in school, or since they've been grown.

Thank you. I wish there were more articles like this. My six children are now grown and all are doing well and have children of thier own. My wife was a stay at home mom who got her batchelors degree at the age of 52.
