Thank you for sharing these stories and your testimony of gratitude. I can’t wait to share this with my family, especially my three teenagers. Perspective and gratitude are everything!

Thank you so much for this wonderful teaching about gratitude. It has helped me to see just how the Lord is guiding me through similar struggles. When I feel myself drifting through the treacherous shoals of depression and anxiety, He prompts some of the wonderful women in my life to reach out to me even after they have moved far away. Their loving kindness buoys my spirit and helps me paddle just a little farther each day. With their help, I can feel my Savior reaching out to me. He has the Holy Spirit guide me toward safer waters. I may not see the way my path turns, but He dies. With His help, I know I will get there eventually.

There are so many wonderful lessons here, not just about gratitude. As I ponder the story of the hotel owner, I think about how rich and full his life became as he opened his mind and heart to a group despised and hated. As we seem to live in a time when spite and hatred of those "not like us" is so rampant, we too should open our hearts and minds. It is, after all, one of the great lessons we glean from the life of the Savior. I, for one, am extremely grateful that you share your wonderful gift of telling meaningful stories with us all.
