Do not let her or anyone associated with her drive a car you own! If she crashes as a known drug user, you could have a huge liability! It may feel mean to you right now, but the most compassionate thing you can do for your ex is say no. No, you will not take the consequences of her actions away by propping her up during her addiction. Your focus needs to be on your kids right now. You can’t work harder on her recovery than she does and multiple lives shouldn’t be destroyed in the service of one addiction.

When she's ready, she'll seek out the help she needs. Narcotics Anonymous has helped my daughter put her life back together, and she's working on rebuilding relationships with her family. Letting her do it on her own was so hard. But it's necessary.
