Great overview! Are there any mothers of young children out there with helpful ideas on how to make time for exercise?

Thank you so much for this post. I have really been struggling with trying to lose weight. I eat a predominantly whole foods plant based diet, and I have decided that my body just won't lose weight even when I eat healthy. But reading your article made me realize that my problem is my portion sizes and the speed at which I eat. I am very grateful to you for giving me some new directions to master and understand. Also numbering how many consecutive days I have been able to maintain a goal seems very helpful to me, much more so than just checking off what I have done for the day. Thanks for the insights and direction!

Thanks for the recap. One of the hardest parts, for me, in making changes is losing sight of the end goal. Little steps and reminders can be really helpful in keeping me motivated and on the right path.

I have been 100 lbs overweight for 15 yrs now...starting putting on 10 lbs a year when I turned 35...tried weight watches 2 times .. Lost weight both times but put it back on.. Plain and simple I just eat way too much food...not so much what I eat mostly... Just way too much... What I have been reading makes good sense... Now if I will get serious and make the commitment ... Thank you for thinking all this through and sharing it ... Pb

Thank you! I was looking for some help. As a person with several autoimmune diseases, my metabolism is extremely shot. My weight has continuously ballooned. This diet (more realistically a live-it) is just what I need and what I can do.
