My husband and I have recently been following the 17 day diet and I instinctively began incorporating some of the principals that I could remember from the Dr Bridell diet. So glad it has been resurrected!
My husband and I are looking for a diet that we can easily follow and learn some insight into why we eat what we do. I would love to have a copy of the book.
this is coming at the right time. I had tried the Bridell Diet and need to get back to basics and eat more healthy. Thanks for the direction.
We were packing to move and I missed some of your articles. I hope I've caught up now. I love your approach and remember when you wrote and shared them through Meridian years ago. I guessed that you were the author as I had read some of your books, and heard you speak. Thanks for sharing again. I hope I win a copy. :)
Lifestyle change is definitely the way to go, but it certainly is challenging to get through the transition period. I look forward to reading the book. I would also love to learn more about this "cortisol whirlpool" and "endorphin cascade."
Let me share one thing that helps me avoid the between-meal munchies: brushing my teeth! When I feel all clean and minty in my mouth, snack food is just less appealing. Don't know if it works for everyone, but clean teeth are a good thing anyway, right?
Thanks for sharing this preface. Often times the best way to make change is to simplify and I think this preface says that.
I'm really interested in trying this. I love natural healthful food but feel like I have such a hard time with "losing control" when it comes to treats or less nutritious food. This sounds like a really good solution.
When I started reading about Richard's Half-Diet Diet, I thought it sounded a lot like the Bridell diet I had followed a few years ago. I new Bridell was a pen name but didn't know until today that Richard was the real author. It is such a great concept--can't wait to get the book and read it again. I'm following it right now anyway, and it definitely works but I want to read it all again.
I love Meridian; but I miss some days of reading. This 6th article was my first in the "Half-diet" series and I am now anxious to go back and read and do what I've missed. Thanks for putting all of this into a proper perspective.
