I get the purpose of these types of articles. We should not set our hearts on wealth. Wealth should not be our God. But here are our options: Option 1) We don't accumulate wealth so that in our golden years all we have to rely on is social security, i.e. the government. And this isn't really enough to keep us out of poverty. The government is increasingly unstable as is social security. At some point the government won't be able to pay out as much social security as it promised. Following this path will not make us self-reliant which is a celestial principle. Option 2) We work to accumulate wealth so that in our golden years, we don't have to rely on the government or social security. Following this path will help us become self-reliant. We won't have to rely on others to support. And because of this, we will be in a position to help others. I would like to see more said on accumulating wealth and that wealth is not a bad thing as long as you are not accumulating it to build your own kingdom.
