D&C is very clear that we should eat meat sparingly. It also tells us to eat grains and veg, i.e. a plant based diet. if you don't you are not following the WOW, its quite simple.

Today's pork is not only very lean, but is free from the parasite because pigs are no longer fed garbage. Today's pork is a very healthy meat, and no I do not raise pigs or work for the pork industry.

we can eat meat. The reason that was stated in the word of wisdom is that the early saints were eating a lot of it and a lot of it at every meal. The most important thing that the word of wisdom teaches us is to not have too much of one thing.

Yes, one can eat pork. I believe it was Bruce R McConkie said that the restrictions of the past found in the Bible no longer apply. However that doesn't mean it is good to eat pork. There's a parasite found in pork that is not destroyed by cooking. Besides that it's really fatty. And my young son would have skin rashes after rating it. This is probably also due to the chemicals they put in meat nowadays. We as a family have not eaten pork for years and eat only quality meat and very sparingly (as counseled in the Word of Wisdom). We all have seen remarkable health benefits from this that we have no desire to go back to our old eating habits. It's a personal choice. We have never regretted ours.
