What an exciting event to have in Salt Lake, especially in the year 2015 as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the church's family home evening program and the 20th anniversary of The Family: A Proclamation to the World. Gathering Families, an organization that sustains and defends the familiy, is promoting their event "Family Lights the World" on the eve of the congress, October 26, 2015. They are encouraging families to gather either in their homes or with other families in communities to celebrate the family. At 7:30 PM (MDST), families are invited to go outside and shine a light to the sky or even just turn on a porch light symbolizing that family indeed lights the world. For more information visit www.gatheringfamilies.com.

What a historic event for SLC! This will be a tremendous opportunity to learn from so many experts about how to elevate the family in our homes and in society. We surely need this now!
