I loved the reference the speaker (getting old, can't remember which one) made during Conference about the interview President Hinckley had with Mike Wallace and Mike Wallace made a comment about the church being run by old men, a gerontocracy. And President Hinckley's reply was "Isn't it wonderful?" and went on to say that it is good to have men who have the maturity and judgment to not be blown about "by every wind of doctrine." The Lord calls who He will call. He has His purposes. We are so blessed to have a living prophet that leads and guides us and twelve apostles who do the same. In a world full of turmoil, it is such a breath of fresh air to me to be able to know that I have that anchor, just like the scriptures and the Holy Ghost, to turn to. Always constant, always present.
